Heritage and Digital Methods of Documentation

Digital documentation of historic structures is one of the intriguing ways to engage with the history. Advancement in technologies are opening up new ways of data capture, processing and representation of historic structures. The course will focus on two emerging techniques of documentation through field work. The course will introduce the participants to fundamentals of Photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning to document ethos of the historic environments. Participants will be exposed to the theory, principles and field work of these techniques. The aim is to understand potentials of these techniques for accurate documentation within shorter time span.
