This is an introductory course for representation of Interior elements and systems. That includes three major space making elements i.e. floor, wall and Ceiling. Each Interior Design element fulfils a set of requirements either conceptual and programmatic. These requirements are either role based or are there to solve specific problems such as space division, volume articulation, scaling of space, accommodating services, need for privacy, controlling noise, etc. This being an interior design course, it focuses on interior elements like internal partition (dry / wet), flooring (dry / wet) and false ceiling. This course will look at technical representation of these Interior elements in the space. This course aims at representation of elements with consideration of construction, material and finishes. It also focuses on how horizontal and vertical planes respond to each other.
