The winter school will take place in Kuala Lumpur over the course of 9 working days where students will travel to the city and experience it in person. The winter school shall give a first-hand opportunity for the students to experience the city, its infrastructure, and the governing/planning systems. This Winter School shall use comparative urbanism and experiential learning as pedagogical tools. Kuala Lumpur is different from many Indian cities in terms of topography, demography, social structure, historical context, and planning/design paradigm. Yet there is a lot to learn from how living within the constraints of a developing city shapes innovations and solutions to urban problems.
